General Task Specific Activities
Collection of Data and Contacts

Travel to the client, with other members of the case team, and meet with executives and relevant operational personnel.

Gather data and contact information while generally learning more about the organization, the industry and the problem at hand.

Data Analysis and Interpretation

Model client’s current and past pricing situation utilizing database, spreadsheet, and graphing software.

Use detailed customer and competitor data to determine the "cause" of the average price decline and to analyze past pricing trends.

Discuss and coordinate results with fellow case team members to form a coherent story and generate new ideas.

Research Use industry and company reports (10Ks, investment bank analysis, etc.), the Internet, research engines, and discussions with industry professionals to gather information on competitor products, pricing, sales tactics, and performance and to sanity check client performance.
Internal and Client Presentations

Work with case team members to design the "storylines", individual "slides" and flow of numerous presentations while communicating ideas to DCO graphic illustrators.

Present findings both internally and to executives at the client site.
