Erika Kaneko ‘07

Erika Kaneko joined Dean & Company in September 2007 after graduating from Princeton University.  Since Erika started working at Dean, she has been exposed to a wide range of industries and has been able to make real contributions to cases.  Within her first month she had researched opportunities in the telecom, banking and energy industries, and worked with senior executives at a major satellite radio company to develop a marketing strategy.  She is currently working on the firm’s private equity case, where she has researched a new company and industry almost every week and helped analyze potential deals. 

Having spent most of her life near New York City, Erika was looking to live somewhere different after graduation.  Washington, DC proved to have all the vitality and bustle of a big city combined with the comfortable familiarity of a small one.  Erika loves exploring the different neighborhoods in and around Washington such as Georgetown, Eastern Market and Old Town, Alexandria.
